In Vietnam market, there are many enterprises producing and importing ultralight materials such as Viglacera with autoclaved aerated concrete panels, Dat Phu Thinh with vinyl tiles, Vinh Cuu with bricks. light, Thanh Phuc Group with ultralight stone ...

   The common point of these products is that they have a very diverse and suitable application in finishing works such as decorative wall cladding, yard paving, balconies, gardens, walkways, fencing, columns ... Besides Meanwhile, lightweight materials have both economic benefits such as reducing foundation costs, fast construction process, and protecting the environment while remaining beautiful and sustainable over time. Therefore, building houses with light materials is a trend that many people choose for their projects.

The market of ultra-light construction materials has not been widely applied in Vietnam due to customers' reluctance to change.

According to experts of construction materials, unlike natural materials, ultralight materials, including ultralight stones, in addition to fixed patterns, manufacturers can design their own designs. according to the needs and tastes of the market. The color of ultralight materials is also more diverse thanks to the ability to mix, match and create colors to suit the preferences of customers. Experts also said that the natural stone itself is beautiful, luxurious, suitable for decoration and construction of all kinds of works, but it is too heavy, very hard in the process of transportation and construction.

   Mr. Tran Duy Phuc, Deputy General Director of Thanh Phuc Group - the first unit that owns the technology of producing ultralight stone in Vietnam, said that ultralight materials in general and ultralight stones in particular have diverse designs. As the size is unlimited, the construction and application is very large without any restrictions such as natural stone. In addition, ultra-light materials help shorten the construction time, a person only needs 30 minutes to complete a large wall. According to research, at present, the development steps from the investment in equipment lines to the production, inspection, product quality monitoring, marketing and market access are strictly implemented by this enterprise. However, the application of ultralight materials in Vietnam is still not popular. Typically, new lightweight bricks account for about 8-9% of total unburnt construction materials, while the target is over 20%.    To find directions for new construction materials such as ultralight materials, experts said that the first solution is that the Ministry of Construction should soon issue legal documents, guiding standards and norms. economic and technical regulations on the handling and use of ash and slag as raw materials for production of construction materials, used in construction works, traffic leveling. At the same time, it is necessary to have regulations that require construction projects funded by the state budget to use new products to save costs, shorten construction time, save energy.
